Confidentiality and information security are vital, and ShareByLink is designed with this in mind. We aim to provide the best security we can while keeping the service easy to use and light weight.
So how do we keep your files and links safe? Firstly, we store your files in secure data centers, under lock and key. These facilities are large "Internet hubs" designed to provide a secure environment for cloud hosting and web data.
Secondly, all of our transfers are encrypted, to ensure that your data is secure in transit to and from our servers.
Thirdly, our Sharing Links are protected from unwanted access through their complexity. The string at the end of the URL is a randomized 12 character alphanumeric string. This gives 26 lowercase letters, 26 uppercase letters, and 10 digits as possible combinations for each position. In total, this gives 3226266762397899821056 possible combinations for link addresses, making it effectively impossible to randomly guess the code for any file hosted by ShareByLink.
Combined, these features keep your data safe at each stage in the sharing process with ShareByLink.
