Dropbox’s pricing model is based on the storage space available to your account, which for many users imposes challenging limits on how much they can store. Some users may not be interested in upgrading, or perhaps might just need a temporary bump in capacity to transfer that one large file.
ShareByLink offers a great alternative way to send files if your Dropbox is out of space. This is because there is no limit to how much you can share: You can upload as many files as you like, up to 2GB per file. These files will be available for 30 days, unless they are flagged for removal sooner.
To share a file with ShareByLink, start your upload using our desktop app or our web tool. Once the upload starts, our system will generate a link with this format:
This link can be immediately shared, and when the people you share it with click on the link, they can immediately begin to download your file. But, don't forget that you still need to finish the upload!
ShareByLink makes it easy to quickly and securely share files, without having to worry about any space limitations or costs.
